Film Club

Clint Dantinne was the founder of the Broadcast Learning Center of the Brandywine School District. Among the educational programs and workshops, Dantinne taught a Film Club at the school until 2010.

Mr. Dantinne has a passion for film, story telling and Hollywood special effects. He has worked at the Disney MGM Studios directly on location for The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (1991), observed production of Rocky V (1990) on-set, met George Lucas at his Skywalker Ranch (2002), and visited several movie studios (including Universal Studios both in California and Florida) & production companies. He has been on the sets of several productions including the 1994 film Renaissance. He also took a test on the campus of the University of Southern California for their film school. In addition to studying film and keeping current with movie industry news, he was instructed in the Film Director's Craft at the International Film Workshops (2002) in Maine.

The 2009-2010 Film Club objectives are to...

provide students the opportunity to explore the language of film
recognize the importance of conveying messages through film elements
give students valuable experience in analyzing and producing media
earn casting and rehearsal techniques, script, story and scene analysis, and the use of storyboards, art direction and how to deal with key departments and the producer
create a movie trailer using existing film footage, background music, narration, etc (our trailers will be available to view at You Tube)
produce a film for upcoming film festivals (distribution on DVD)
